A&P Summit: Aims and Objectives
Art & Patronage: The Middle East was launched in London with a two-day Summit at the British Museum and at the Royal College of Art on the 12-13 January 2012. The A&P Summit was an invitation-only event for top patrons, collectors, institutional leaders, curators, academics, artists, diplomats and influential players involved in culture of and for the greater Middle East. The Summit allowed individuals and institutions to collaborate creatively in support of an emerging art scene. Capitalising on the region’s current cultural vitality and state of political flux, the Summit’s aim was to engage cultural debate about the Middle East and, ultimately, translate bold new ideas into action.
